WHEE! first post here! i know i a bit... anyway, sec 2's great! except for the unfortunate fact that i have a quite AHEM LA teacher, an awesome still the same chinese teacher, an awesome math teacher, AHEM physics, chem and bio teachers and the same old boring humans(you get what i mean!) teachers. and once again, I'm the Home Econs rep! only this year, I'm music rep too! cos last year, Vanessa was supposed to be he, music and dance rep but then i somehow ended up being he rep. and this year, Stacy wants to be dance rep, but she is in HMP and doesnt take he or music, so i got the roles!:DD anyway, it sound so much better then being boring subject reps, especially HISTORY rep, which i got nominated for. LOL.

Anyway, i shall not start obsessing over my Hong Kong trip like i did in my blog! but it was LOADS of FUN anyway! excluding the freakyyy part on the way back to the hotel from disneyland, which i shall not elaborate on.

oh well, i think i will stop here and post some ohter time. decided that i should just post short posts and post more often. so jess, post long posts everytime you get to, kay! kepp the blog alive!
XOXO

HEYYYY :D

Anw so yesterday me, my mom and my dad went for the food expo held at singapore expo hall 4, which I highly recommend you should go cos there's tons of delicious food there and of course, free samples!! Haha. xD It's like the only place where you can try food samples and leave without buying anything and not feel guilty or obliged to buy!! Haha, so yes, as you can tell, we had a great time there. I kept drinking the fantastic orange juice that one stall had while my mom had coffee refills for countless times haha. Oh and my dad was the one carrying all the bags haha;D No lah, being the utmost filial daughter that I am, I helped too. :D And you know of all the great, delicious, scrumptious food that was there, my dad was most interested in this tiny machine that this guy was selling that worked as a plastic 'sealer', like it could help to laminate cards etc. -.- Don't know how the man even managed to get his license to sell that non-food-related thing there anyway, must be somewhat illegal... Anw, then me and my mom were like shaking our heads and going: Sigh, men, we'll never understand them.

But in the end he didn't buy it. :D

Anw, we ended up spending like almost 100bucks on food. :D Which my mom claims most of the expenditure came from me! :O I denied it of course, I mean, all I ate was this durian pancake, ice cream, a bottle of orange juice, the oat drink thingee... Gee, actually quite alot:x Haha, never mind, its only held once evry half year right? As long as we only go once a year, we shouldn't be getting fat anytime soon. :D

Anw so to all those boring peeps with no life while sitting in front of the tv/ computer all day long, GO OUT ADN GET A LIFE! :D (that sounds like me:x) The Food Expo'll be held till 24nov, this tuesday from 11am - 10pm! :D (Haha, I sound like some promoter;D) Though the fried-food smell sticks to your hair after that, so be careful:x

After about 2hours of food sampling, it was about 5 o'clock when we decided to visit the Changi Beach Club (sth like that) which we used to be members of 10 years ago (seriously) since we were in the area (and to reminisce the past beautiful moments we had here as a family). Or maybe we were just feeling nostalgic. As far as I could remember, the last time I visited that beach was when I was about 6 I think. Anw when we entered, everything was still the same, nothing had changed. Ans when I say that, I honestly meant it. It's like time had suddenly rewind and we were 10years back into the past, no difference at all. I am seriously not exaggerating at all.

Anw we later made our way down to the beach, well not technically, since we stayed on the beach walk instead. I mean, I certainly wasn't dressed in beachwear since it was an impromptu trip (I was wearing my favourite and only pair of sneakers! Gosh they rock man, I love those! :D Anw, no more digressing). And we saw the few boats that were 'parked' there and figured that the club could be having some financial difficulties and all.

There was only one family on the beach itself, and that was actually a good thing cos then the beach was really very quiet and all. And the scenery was just breathtaking, no words can explain that. It was just all so beautiful and so much more different than the other beaches which seem so commercialised and so very crowded with people whereas the one at changi had this very natural and calm feel... Even the air there was so much better. Guess im glad they didn't renovate the place.

Anw, to remember the moment, I took some photos, which is a rather huge accomplishment for me since I don't like to take out my handphone around my family, gives me a very insecure feeling:x And I know they might not exactly portray the exact picturesque scenery that was there then, since I am an amateur and my hp camera sucks anyway, but some of them are really very pretty. :) Enjoy. :)

WARNING: For those who hate scenery pictures, you'd better shoo off. :D

The pond at the club. If you stare intently, you might be able to see my hand and my phone. :D

Parents taking a walk, me tagging behind. In the background: chalet looking thing is the place where people go to just see stuff. :D

My mom and her weird pose.

Coconut trees. :D

I like this picture. :D

The old beach walk. If you were actually there, you'll know really how old evrything is. Like rotting ._.

I LOVE THIS ONE. <3>

Dad blocking Mom-.-

Nice tree. :D

See the green algae on the rocks?

That little hill in the background is actually Malaysia! :D As for the stick in the middle, I have no idea why it's there;D

Rather nice eh? :D Candid. :D

Two Malay guys fishing.

Chalet-looking thing in the background; a family planning to spend the night there.

Hey! :D yep, that photo was ripped off the newspapers again, haha. Anw so there were these huge flash floods on thursday, and super heavy rain on friday yesterday too. According to today's newspapers what happened on thursday was a 'freak' event which occurs once in every 5o years. Which is rather cool if you think about it. :D (Yes I have been dilligently reading my newspapers evry day! :D Haha.) But definitely not if you're caught in that dreaded rain. D; Which unfortunately happened to me.
So on thuraday CCA ended I decided to have lunch at macs, only its not at kap, its the one at beauty world so I went alone. Anw the rain already started way before CCA ended so inevitably we were all drenched while making our way to the bus-stop. Then we each boarded the bus and went our own way. Anw when I reached my stop and alighted, I changed my mind and called for my mom to fetch me since it was raining so frigging heavily. BUT my mom said that she didn't want to and that I should wait till later adn walk home on my own. Which was like wth-.-

Anw so no choice I made my way over and had lunch, finished at about 1.30pm. Then, since it was still as heavy as ever, I made my way down to shop n' save and just wandered about. Yes I was that frigging bored-.- Oh and I saw these 3 other sec sch girls completely drenched, like as though they jumped into the pool, only it was obvious they ran under the rain. And it was damn funny cos I, and other people too of course, just couldn't help but stare at them since they were walking barefoot, holding their school shoes in their hands, and dripping water everywhrere. Haha, it was damn hilarious man. xD

Anw back to shop n' save. After awhile the rain got super heavy and flooded the bottom part of the stairs from the outside leading to shop n' save (those who've never been there might not have any idea what im talking about:x) and the coolest thing was that the water started to flow INTO the builidng itself and suddenly there was water everywhere, well up till the shop n' save entrance anyway, and it was so damn cool! :D Haha, I mean, this kind of thing only happens every 50years man, how exciting is that!! :D
Haha, oh and alot of people were like chipping in to help 'sweep' the water out, while I of course stood by one side and just watched;D Don't blame me for not being a "good citizen" but im certainly not ready to have my shoes more wet than they already were. Anw after that I hung around like for an hour more before the rain FINALLY decided to subside a little before walking home (yes, poor me, my own mother would rather I be drenched than drive me home. Sigh.) Without a doubt I was completely drench from head to toe like (what was that phrase again? oh yeah,) 落汤鸡 :D Anw. it sucked lah, my socks were totally wet lor-.-
Oh and when I reached home, my mom was giving me this very shocked look and asked me why I didn't call her again cos she was about to go fetch me-.-
Which was just great-.-
Then of course I was sulking and all that and my perfectly clean and dry sister who was watching tv kept on laughing at me. What the heck.
Thank goodness we'll have to wait another 50years before this happens again.

WOOTS!! :D That picture was on the front page of the sat straits times. :D Anw so Hu Jintao came to Nanyang! :D Well for lucky people like Claude, they managed to get a clear view of the China president himself whereas we the clappers along the driveway only got to see the shape of his face (or like my friend, his spectacles only-.-). At least its better than not seeing him at all;D To be honest I guess I wasn't really THAT excited, especially since I hardly got to see him at all but nevertheless, it was a rather, unqiue, experience. :D Luckily we didn't have to stand that long under the sun. :D Oh and, as my mother pointed out, we should be feeling very proud cos he visited nanyang instead of hci which was just opposite! Which shows what a rich and chinesey heritage nanyang has. :D Anw so here are the other pictures from the net.

Hu Jintao and his wife along with some other important people. :D Ms Yap in baby pink. :D Fyi, that's taken in our school library!! :D

In the heritage trail. Btw the counsellor at the extreme right is the sister of a friend of mine! :D

Anw after that, me, Claude, Eliana and Wenjia went back to visit pei hwa (see! So loyal;D) Went for lunch at macs first, along with VC and Sharon. :D Oh and VC kept on bugging us to eat faster haha. She was like, sitting in front of us, staring and ordering us to eat faster cos she wants to go home then suddenly say "I have no patience" and move away haha;D Ok doesn't sound funny here but it was there and then lah. Oh and I met Candice and Rou Jing there too. Rou Jing was so nice and helpfun in the beginning lor! She even helped me buy the food, whichmade me rather suspicious… It wasn't until Candice came down to ask me for those monopoly pieces then I realised that Rou Jing stole mine!! :O Haha lol, stupid lah, then I went up to meet them and we were like tao jia huan jia, damn funny! We were like 'ok I want this one' then someone else will shout 'no wait! That's mine! I want it!' Haha, damn retarded. Oh and the table of jc-looking ppl were staring at us cos we were making such huge fools of ourselves haha. In the end I gave them all lah, I gave up on collecint those things anw. The only instant win I ever got was a stupid coffee-.- Anw later Sharon's mom came to fetch her and VC decided to walk all the way home from macs (which is a rather long walk but she is crazy anw;D Haha, feng shao. :D) So the remaining four of us proceeded to phpps! :D

When we reached there, didn't do anything much lah, it was obvious we were totally unwelcomed lor-.- Oh and at first we couldn't get in since preacher willy wasn't in school and we didn't make any appointments. Lukily uncle Robert wasn't there so we just went in after signing in and the security guard on duty then certainly tok a liking to us since he 'used to work in nanyang! Protected the girls there!' Yeah you get what I mean-.- Anw didn't do anything much lah, just hung around, almost got chased out and chatted with Mrs Lee! :D Which was fun. And she's still asking us to pray for her that she'll teach p1 next year haha;D Oh and we left some messages for our juniors charity6'09 since it was their last week in phpps already so must cherish each other and stuff like that. Oh and of course encouraging them to come nanyang too haha. :D But I think our juniors got a lot of class spirit anw since 'We love each other truckloads!!<3' was written on the board. Unlike our class haha;D Charity6'08 was a failure in class bonding and stuff. Even Mrs Lee pointed out that man, since the girls and the guys totally kept away the other gender when we went back on teachers' day. Nah, not that I hate the guys (I mean they can be fun to have around like when they're doing the hula dance on top of chairs in front of the whole class), but it'll just be plain weird if we suddenly go all friendly and try to mix around. Scratch that, it'll be completely bizarre. Then again, there are SOME people that I don't mind not seeing for the rest of my life. I think we all know who. :D

CCA nowadays is super tiring, according to lao shi, we'll be going all out to build up our foundation. Man, everybody's legs and knees are giving way already, and we're all getting bruises everywhere man. From all that rolling about and falling. Gosh. Nvm, no pain no gain. :D

HELLO! :D

Welcome! 欢迎! Willkommen! Selamat Datang!

Kudos to Claude for this blog! :D

*insert cheers*

Since im not that IT savvy to know these kind of basic stuff:x

Anw, just for the benefit of those who have yet to meet her (and also because I haven't got anything else better to start off with), Claude is basically this fun-loving, cute, short? (Lol xD), tends to sleep/ not pay attention in class, hates browns&greens (most), LOVES<3 pink&purple, whom someone has a huge crush on (im so gonna get killed for that ;D), is in choir, NYC, so LOVES<3 singing (correct me if im wrong), graduated from the fabulolus Charity6
of Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School

*insert cheers*

— and is currently studying in Nanyang!<3

*insert cheers*

Along with me!<3 Though our classes will not be stated for security reasons. OK now its my self-intro: Hi im Jessica and im an ex-graduate of PHPPS, currently in Nanyang, LOVES<3 dance, and note, its Chinese Dance, don't get confused with modern dance ;D Hm. What else? OH AND IM TALLLLLLL. Hahaha. xD No lah, still not satisfied with my current hiehgt, so I intend to grow to a max of, say, 170cm? Haha, rather realistic lah, though I've only grown by 1cm this year. *horrified* OK, that's about it? Lol. xD

Hm, maybe im letting out too much personal info here? Gee, then I've wasted all my efforts in typing for nothing. =_= Nvm, I'll just darken this whole part. :D Lol, don't think it'll help much but oh wells. :D

Anw I suppose this whole post sounds weird since im not much of a blogger (considering the fact that I let my previous, and first, one rot away after just a mere 3posts) and neither am I one of the diary-writers. Somehow they bore me after awhile. (Plus my hand will ache like hell afterwards:x) AND im a huge crapper. :D Can tell I bet! xD LOL.

So, I've been asking Claude recently what nicknames her classmates have been giving her (well actually only twice but I got short-term memory), and she mentioned this one:

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs

Which is, in case you seriously don't have a life, actually the title of this movie. :D Haha, that's a cute name, only it's too long le haha. xD So I'd stick to Claude. :D As for me, in NYCD, im called Flat Nose and also known as Ah Ma to others. xD Lol, retarded lah. But the Flat Nose thing is fun, cos there's this other girl, who also takes german, called Big Nose and we name ourselves THE NOSEYS. :D Yes I know, its damn stupid, but fun nonetheless. xD Oh and sometimes we talk in german to confuse other ppl, damn hilarious. Lol, I might have told Claude about this already, don't quite rmb. :D Oh! And there was a time, like when we were p2, and Faith (also known as Faithfie), came up with this equation: CLAUDIA= A deer with claws. Get it? Lol, lame much. ;D But it was hilarious back then. Haha, lol, jkjk lah. xD

Anw so enough crapping! :D Oh guess who's coming to Nanyang this Friday!! :D Some important person, so important that we, the sec1s, will have to drag our weary bodies to school this Friday and form this ridiculously long line to greet him/her/them. Yes, dreadful indeed. At first we were thinking that it could be the new principal (yes, farewell, and best regards to you dear ms yap) but who would go to such lengths just to welcome the new principal? Who is btw, the current principal of nyps. Anw then we all started thinking OBAMA! since he'll be coming this week for the APEC Summit. Or maybe the world leaders. (Considering that Prince Charles once visited NYGH)

BUT! Hohoho, I know who this mystery person(s) is/are…………….

Psst………………………………………

LOL NOT TELLING! :D It's a secret! :D But anw, one of the persons is confirmed coming lah, though the rest may not, if there is a 'the rest'. :D Heh, confusing? Nvm, you'll see when the day comes. AND YESSS THERE WON'T BE ANY CCA THAT DAY! Or for the rest of this week either! :D

Nah, don't get me wrong, I LOVE MY CCA<3 (seriously!), just that im too tired to go this week, haha, lazy me. ;D But, anw, recently we're practicing this dance again, 岁月如歌, which we learnt a couple of months back and I was surprised how easily I picked it up again! Though of course I still can't catch the beat on time for some parts and it still looks horrible compared to our seniors' BUT I haven't felt so great for such a long time! Like now we're actually doing something instead of just standing at a corner watching the clock. Ok maybe that was exaggerated but somewhere along those lines. And the best part is: WE MIGHT BE PERFORMING THAT!!! :D Ok maybe not early next year, but like, middle? Still, that's better than nothing. :D WOOTS! I CAN'T WAIT!!!! :D Especially since we haven't had a single performance this entire year!! D: Sad man. Looks like we do indeed suck that much. D: Hais.

Anw so for the past week we've been having our post-exam activities which also included the annual FoA!! <3

FESTIVAL OF ARTS

Anw the performances were great, oh and Claude performed too! :D She was wearing this white dress with white shoes! :D Lol, more like high heels. Oh and there was the ultra heavy make-up too! :D Haha, I wanted to take a picture of her (which I did! :D), but sadly the one I took of her whispering to the-other-girl-sitting-beside-her was too far away and blur and so couldn't see the ahem, fabulous make-up she had on. xD Trust me, Claude, you look totally different with all that make-up!:O Lol, bet you must be damn happy and flipping with joy to know that the photo of you was a failure. Oh wells, THERE'S STILL NEXT TIME!!

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! xD

Lol, ok, think I've crapped enough le ;D Fill you in on the FoA details next time bah! :D Or maybe Claude could do it! *hint: backstage experience???* Oh btw, I know this is damn extra but OMG KRIS ALLEN ROCKS NO BOUNDARIES ROCKS ITS SO DARN INSIPIRING AND KRIS ALLEN HAS A SUPERB VOICE AND KRIS ALLEN TOTALLY ROCKSSS!!! :D

Oh and he's married. -.- What a waste, haha.

No Boundaries -Kris Allen

Seconds, hours, so many days

You know what you want, but how long can you wait

Every moment last forever

When you feel you've lost your way

What if my chances were already gone?

I started believing that I could be wrong

But you give me one good reason

To fight and never walk away

So here I am, still holding on

With every step, you climb another mountain

Every breath, it's harder to believe

You'll make it through the pain, weather the hurricanes

To get to that one thing

Just when you think the road is going nowhere

Just when you almost gave up on your dreams

They take you by the hand and show you that you can

There are no boundaries

There are no boundaries

I fought to the limit to stand on the edge

What if today is as good as it gets?

Don't know where the future's heading

But nothing's gonna to bring me down

I've jumped every bridge and I've run every line

I've risked being safe but I always knew why

I always knew why

So here I am still holding on

With every step, you climb another mountain

Every breath, it's harder to believe

You'll make it through the pain, weather the hurricanes

To get to that one thing

Just when you think the road is going nowhere

Just when you almost gave up on your dreams

They take you by the hand and show you that you can

You can go higher, you can go deeper

There are no boundaries, above and beneath you

Break every rule 'cause there's nothing between you

And your dreams

With every step, you climb another mountain

Every breath, it's harder to believe

Yeah, there are no boundaries

There are no boundaries

With every step, you climb another mountain

Every breath, it's harder to believe

You'll make it through the pain, weather the hurricanes

There are no boundaries

There are no boundaries

There are no boundaries
