HEYYYY :D Labels: Beaches and food
Anw so yesterday me, my mom and my dad went for the food expo held at singapore expo hall 4, which I highly recommend you should go cos there's tons of delicious food there and of course, free samples!! Haha. xD It's like the only place where you can try food samples and leave without buying anything and not feel guilty or obliged to buy!! Haha, so yes, as you can tell, we had a great time there. I kept drinking the fantastic orange juice that one stall had while my mom had coffee refills for countless times haha. Oh and my dad was the one carrying all the bags haha;D No lah, being the utmost filial daughter that I am, I helped too. :D And you know of all the great, delicious, scrumptious food that was there, my dad was most interested in this tiny machine that this guy was selling that worked as a plastic 'sealer', like it could help to laminate cards etc. -.- Don't know how the man even managed to get his license to sell that non-food-related thing there anyway, must be somewhat illegal... Anw, then me and my mom were like shaking our heads and going: Sigh, men, we'll never understand them.
But in the end he didn't buy it. :D
Anw, we ended up spending like almost 100bucks on food. :D Which my mom claims most of the expenditure came from me! :O I denied it of course, I mean, all I ate was this durian pancake, ice cream, a bottle of orange juice, the oat drink thingee... Gee, actually quite alot:x Haha, never mind, its only held once evry half year right? As long as we only go once a year, we shouldn't be getting fat anytime soon. :D
Anw so to all those boring peeps with no life while sitting in front of the tv/ computer all day long, GO OUT ADN GET A LIFE! :D (that sounds like me:x) The Food Expo'll be held till 24nov, this tuesday from 11am - 10pm! :D (Haha, I sound like some promoter;D) Though the fried-food smell sticks to your hair after that, so be careful:x
After about 2hours of food sampling, it was about 5 o'clock when we decided to visit the Changi Beach Club (sth like that) which we used to be members of 10 years ago (seriously) since we were in the area (and to reminisce the past beautiful moments we had here as a family). Or maybe we were just feeling nostalgic. As far as I could remember, the last time I visited that beach was when I was about 6 I think. Anw when we entered, everything was still the same, nothing had changed. Ans when I say that, I honestly meant it. It's like time had suddenly rewind and we were 10years back into the past, no difference at all. I am seriously not exaggerating at all.
Anw we later made our way down to the beach, well not technically, since we stayed on the beach walk instead. I mean, I certainly wasn't dressed in beachwear since it was an impromptu trip (I was wearing my favourite and only pair of sneakers! Gosh they rock man, I love those! :D Anw, no more digressing). And we saw the few boats that were 'parked' there and figured that the club could be having some financial difficulties and all.
There was only one family on the beach itself, and that was actually a good thing cos then the beach was really very quiet and all. And the scenery was just breathtaking, no words can explain that. It was just all so beautiful and so much more different than the other beaches which seem so commercialised and so very crowded with people whereas the one at changi had this very natural and calm feel... Even the air there was so much better. Guess im glad they didn't renovate the place.
Anw, to remember the moment, I took some photos, which is a rather huge accomplishment for me since I don't like to take out my handphone around my family, gives me a very insecure feeling:x And I know they might not exactly portray the exact picturesque scenery that was there then, since I am an amateur and my hp camera sucks anyway, but some of them are really very pretty. :) Enjoy. :)
WARNING: For those who hate scenery pictures, you'd better shoo off. :D
The pond at the club. If you stare intently, you might be able to see my hand and my phone. :D
Parents taking a walk, me tagging behind. In the background: chalet looking thing is the place where people go to just see stuff. :D
My mom and her weird pose.
Two Malay guys fishing.
